The opposition aspect (harmonic 2) belongs to the family of tense aspects, which derive from the division of the circle (360º) by the number 2.
The opposition aspect is related with the ability to oppose, block, deny, eliminate or move away something concrete. This increases the capacity for discrimination and objective perception, due to the contrast generated by separating two elements that were previously indistinguishable.
It is an aspect almost as energetic as the conjunction, but it is unstable, since at certain times it can pass from one extreme to another, such as the discharge of a lightning bolt between a very charged stormy cloud and the Earth's surface.
